A customer requested that we add an unlimited NOTE LIST for any number of notes per project. The new NOTE LIST feature allows that.

  • The notes can be exported in BATCH mode in the report menu.
  • The notes can be included in a standard report.

Splitting a bend into two adjacent half-bends manually is a bit complex. So we added this command to make it easy.

This new "split a bend" command is useful for when a very high bend angle throws its intersection point far from the tube and then creates unreliably high swings in the tangent deviation and bender correction data.

After splitting a bend into two adjacent half-bends, you can use the SPLIT BEND measuring feature to scan the inside and outside of the actual bend to overcome this problem.

This new command is available in these grids:

  • Incremental LRA
  • Springback Compensated LRA
  • Absolute LRA

Follow these steps to setup VTube-LASER to split a bend then turn on "Split Bend Measuring"

1 - Select the bend to split in an LRA grid.

2 - Right click.

3 - Choose "Split Selected Bend into Two Bends"

4 - In the Bend Setup tab above the XYZ data, click on Split Bend Setup.

5 - In the Split Bend Setup window, set the STRAIGHT with the ZERO straight length to "Split Bend at Apex" (It will equal the BEND number + 1). Watch the data compress and highlight in the LRA grid when you exit the window.


VTube-LASER will now be ready to measure with the Split Bend scanning feature.

Check.jpgNEW - MINIMUM CLAMP LENGTH FILTER FOR CORRECTIONS

This new filter is in the new CORRECTION FILTER tab menu in Bender Setup.

We added this feature into Bender Setup to allow VTube-LASER to limit the shortening changes made to lengths between bends. For example, if the minimum clamp length is 50 mm and this filter is active, then any LENGTH correction that calculates a length less than 50 mm will be reset to the minimum of 50.

When the filter limits the length reduction, then a dialog will appear before data is sent to the bender. The dialog will warn you with a message that at least one length correction was limited to the minimum clamp length.

When the Minimum Clamp filter is active and the filter lengthened a length between two bends, then this warning will display.

The dialog allows you to CONTINUE or STEP the send to the bender.

Check.jpg OTHER CHANGES

  • FIX - In the MASTER and MEASURED tube menus - the EXPORT combo drop down box was fixed so that the current choice is always the type of export that VTube performs.

  • FIX - The RECALL button in Bender Setup now enables properly depending on the communications protocol.
