MAJOR NEW FEATURE: ASSEMBLY FEATURE ALLOWS MULTIPLE PARTS IN ONE VTUBE PROJECT

With the new Assembly button in the toolbar, you can import and work with an assembly of tubes into VTube-STEP. The Assembly Control window allows VTube to hold several parts in memory at the same time. The data in the user interface on the left is displayed when you select a part in the list in the Assembly Control. The row with the GREEN square represents the data shown in the menus on the left. Works with VTube-LASER v2.9 Setup Too You can use this new capability to import and measure any tube or even cylinder on an assembly. Any cylinder, square, or rectangle can be included in the assembly in VTube-STEP - and then transferred to VTube-LASER for measuring. If you look closely at the image on the right, you will see that the end flange and holes have been selected - and can then be measured by VTube-LASER.

NEW UI FEATURE: ADDED PART NUMBER EDIT BOX ABOVE THE MENUS

This small change will make a big difference in usability. The PART NUMBER is displayed above every menu on the left side of the screen. It can be edited in this new box.

Always See the Part Number This arrangement allows you to see and edit which part is being shown in the left menus without entering the Part Setup menu or Assembly window - epecially in part assemblies. Edit Part Number in 3 Places With this setup, you can see and edit the Part Number in three separate places. When you change them in one place, they will change in the other two.

FIX: VTUBE NOW DRAWS DIAMETER EVEN WITH ZERO LENGTH STRAIGHTS

In previous versions, zero length straights would stop the diameter from drawing. This has been fixed in build 95 of version 2.9.

NEW: IMPORT MULTIPLE SUPRAVISION FILES

VTube-STEP can now import multiple Supravision files. It can import single Supravision files. It can import multiple Supravision files into a single assembly. It can batch-convert multiple Supravision files into a folder of VTube project files (VTP).

NEW: IMPORT MULTIPLE SOLID EDGE FILES

Import multiple SOLID EDGE files at one time into an ASSEMBLY.

NEW: IMPORT VECTOR LASERVISION PRT FILES

VTube-STEP can now import Laservision PRT files: It can import single PRT files. It can import multiple PRT files into a single assembly. It can batch-convert multiple PRT file into a folder of VTube project files (VTP). Note: Build 91 makes PRT batch mode conversion much faster. Note: Build 95 allows for 180-degree bends in PRT files.

ENHANCED IMPORT FEATURE: IMPROVED SOLID EDGE XPRESROUTE IMPORT

Previous versions of VTube could only import XpresRoute files that contained LRA bender data. Now VTube can import different kinds of XpresRoute files - either centerline XYZ or LRA bender data.

NEW UI FEATURE: ADDED 26 NEW USER INTERFACE SKINS

Feature Added in Build: 37 Now VTube has 26 NEW user interface skins (rather than just 4 in previous versions). Set the skins in the System Options menu.

NEW UI FEATURE: CONTROL and FUNCTION Keys Work From Within Floating Control Windows

Feature Added in Build: 37 In previous versions of VTube, when floating control windows were displayed, it was necessary to click on the blue viewport before pressing any of the VTube short-cut keys for the keys to have any effect. Example short-cut keys are F2 for REDRAW or F3 for ZOOM ALL. Now you can press the short-cut keys from within any of the floating windows.

ENHANCED SOLID MODELING ENGINE

The solid modeling engine was updated. To confirm this update, the trihedron is now a 3D solid model rather than the older stick figure.

OTHER CHANGES

• Build 98: Put a scroll box in the Bender Setup menu for low-resolution monitors
• Build 98: Reorganized the Parametric Tube Data menu so that more space is given to the two grids
• Improved internal model handling
• Memory leaks removed
• Many other debugs and enhancements
