NEW - VTUBE IS NOW COMPATIBLE WITH THE NEW FARO 8-AXIS USB DRIVER (6.2.0.26)

Previous versions of VTube-LASER will not read the ball probe values with this new FARO USB driver. Version 2.9.14 was changed to work with this new FARO driver. In fact, this FARO driver is highly recommended as long as you have this version of VTube-LASER or newer. You can download this latest FARO driver from this support page.

NEW - ENTER FRACTION VALUES for FLOATING POINT in PART SETUP, XYZ GRIDS, and LRA GRIDS

We discovered a customer that had to manually convert Imperial fractional units from a tube print. So we taught VTube how to accept fraction values in the PART SETUP, XYZ GRIDS, and LRA GRIDS. The form VTube-LASER and VTube-STEP uses is identical to the AutoCAD standard for fraction entry. If you know that standard, then you already know the VTube standard. Many customers still use inches in data entry. If you do, then try this after you install this new version: Go to the Part Setup menu and type in the tube diameter using a fractional form. Enter 3/16, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, etc. (That's the way we old-school designers and engineers still think.) Acceptable Fraction Forms "10-3/8" converts to 10.375 "-10-3/8" converts to -10.375 "+10-3/8" converts to 10.375 "3/8" converts to 0.375 "-3/8" converts to -0.375 "3 / 8" converts to 0.375 Rule Breaker Examples 10 3/8 = Error (no dash between the 10 and the 3/8) 10-3/0 = Error (division by zero)

FIXED - CLEARING ALL CUT PLANES from the CUT PLANE LIST NOW WORKS

We discovered that, when you delete the entire list of Cut Planes, VTube-LASER will most likely bring at least one of them back. (They are not cleared permanently.) This has been fixed so that cleared Cut Planes never reappear.

NEW - REPORT ABSOLUTE CONRAC CORRECTIONS

VTube-LASER can now report absolute CONRAC bender corrections using new HTML report template values. The two new tokens to use inside the html tags are: <vtube_val>Array_Lcor_Absolute</vtube_val> <vtube_val>Array_Rcor_Absolute</vtube_val>

NEW - RONIKolli7 Bender Simulator ASCII XYZ File Import

VTube-STEP mode can now import RONIKolli7 bender simulator ASCII XYZ files. That data imported includes: Part Number (filename) Material Note Diameter Wall Thickness XYZ + centerline Radius VTube also calculates the default radius and the Cut Length during the import.

OTHER CHANGES

Probe point throughput is potentially 2.5 faster than in previous versions.
