<b>NOTE: This feature is provided mainly for VTube-LASER measuring. But it can also be used in VTube-STEP in preparation for VTube-LASER measuring.</b>

<br><br>Splitting a bend into two adjacent half-bends manually is a bit complex.  So we added this command to make it easy.<br><br>

This new "split a bend" command is useful for when a very high bend angle throws its intersection point far from the tube and then creates unreliably high swings in the tangent deviation and bender correction data.<br><br>

After splitting a bend into two adjacent half-bends, you can use the SPLIT BEND measuring feature to scan the inside and outside of the actual bend to overcome this problem.<br><br>

This new command is available in these grids:

* Incremental LRA

* Springback Compensated LRA

* Absolute LRA

* FIX - The Coping Print Preview screen does not load into memory during initialization unless it is being used. This prevents potential errors if no printer is installed in your setup.<br><br>

* CHANGE - Moved the demo parts to the "C:\Users\Public\Documents\VTube\Demo Files" folder during installation to clear up the default project folder for your parts.

Check.jpgNEW - ENTER FRACTION VALUES for FLOATING POINT in PART SETUP, XYZ GRIDS, and LRA GRIDS

We discovered a customer that had to manually convert Imperial fractional units from a tube print. So we taught VTube how to accept fraction values in the PART SETUP, XYZ GRIDS, and LRA GRIDS.

The form VTube-LASER and VTube-STEP uses is identical to the AutoCAD standard for fraction entry. If you know that standard, then you already know the VTube standard.

Many customers still use inches in data entry. If you do, then try this after you install this new version: Go to the Part Setup menu and type in the tube diameter using a fractional form. Enter 3/16, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, etc. (That's the way we old-school designers and engineers still think.)

Acceptable Fraction Forms

"10-3/8"converts to10.375
"-10-3/8"converts to-10.375
"+10-3/8"converts to10.375
"3/8"converts to0.375
"-3/8"converts to-0.375
"3 / 8"converts to0.375

Rule Breaker Examples

  • 10 3/8 = Error (no dash between the 10 and the 3/8)

  • 10-3/0 = Error (division by zero)
