NEW LASER SCAN LOGIC FOR RECTANGULAR AND SQUARE TUBES

IF YOU MEASURE SQUARE TUBES WITH THE LASER SCANNER, THEN THIS IS AN IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR YOU. The rectangular and square LASER scanning logic is much improved over the previous version. If you can square or rectangular tubes, then this version is especially important for you.

NEW - RECTANGULAR PROBE OFFSET DIRECTION LOGIC CORRECTED

IF YOU MEASURE SQUARE TUBES WITH THE BALL PROBE, THEN THIS IS AN IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR YOU. We discovered that the rectangular and square tube measurements might project the planes to the wrong side of the ball probe. This incorrect compensation would cause the centerline to shift by up to double the ball diameter. This has been fixed in this version.

NEW - STAR TECNOLOGY Bender Corrections Through a Network (VTube-LASER Only)

We added the STAR EVO SVNet file correction support that allows VTube-LASER to correct STAR EVO benders through a network connection automatically. Bender corrections only work through VTube-LASER. (Not VTube-STEP) See VTube HERBER Bender Correction (MES Protocol)

NEW - (NEW VALUE) MAXIMUM NUMBER OF POINTS ALLOWED IN END SCAN LASER STRIPE

This was added because the ROMER RS4 scanners give VTube-LASER too much data for end-stripes, thus slowing down the graphics engine and measuring process. The LASER point filter value solves this problem by limiting the number of points in a stripe down to a reasonable number for VTube-LASER. If you are using the recommended end-scan technique, then we recommend that the value be no more than 50.

OTHER CHANGES

• VTube-STEP could give a list index error when loading the Assembly Control window. This has been fixed.
