The changes in this version take CNC Bender to the next step in setup power: TEACH your bender how to solve problems.

CNC Bender can now learn from you during setup. Teach the bender any motion for difficult transitions between bends

  • This is an overview of how to use teach-mode:

    • Enable Teach Mode inside the options list for bend 1. (See image 1 on the right)

    • Power on and Cycle Start the bender

    • Press AUTO mode.

    • Activate the Teach button in the Control Mode bar.

    • Load and bend the part

    • After bend 1 is finished, the dies will open, and CNC Bender will enter STEP mode, and display the Teach Mode menu. (STEP mode allows the bender to pause operation and never time-out.)

    • Teach the bender up to 10 Custom Commands - each command can contain any number of simultaneous jog motions. (You can teach the bender to move all the axes plus any of the actuators x 10 times after each bend.)

    • Exit the Teach Mode window and finish bending the part.

  • Other things to know:
    • Teach in PreBend immediately after you chuck the part and press the run buttons.

    • Control extra moves in PostBend using the final bend's Custom Commands.

    • The learned moves are held in objects called Custom Commands (see below).

Enable Teach Mode individually for each bend

Check.jpg NEW - CUSTOM COMMANDS

  • Custom Commands store the moves learned during Teach Mode

  • A single Custom Command can contain any number of simultaneous Jog Motions. In a SINGLE Custom Command, you could teach the bender how to move the...
    • FEED (carriage)
    • while ROTATING
    • while shifting the VERTICAL RADIUS
    • while shifting the HORIZONTAL RADIUS
    • while returning the BEND ARM
    • while pulling the MANDREL
    • while activating the KICKER
    • while doing anything else you can make move on the bender

  • The PreBend section, the BEND section, and the PostBend section store Custom Commands. Every BEND stores up to 10 custom commands. A 10 bend part could have up to 120 custom commands.
  • Each Bend's Custom Command changes how the bender works after that bend when transitioning to the next bend.

  • Custom Commands can be MANUALLY entered and edited without the bender running in Teach Mode.

  • Or Custom Commands can be edited even after they were built using Teach Mode.

  • All Custom Commands are stored in the part file that contains the part data.
