Cncbender unlimited axis expansion.jpg

As of September 2008, we've redesigned CNC Bender to accept an unlimited number of motion-controlled axes.

The original manual servo page had reached its limits in the ability to accept new controls. Each had axis had its own jog buttons. Only four axes are allowed. We had run out of screen real-estate.

Our solution to overcoming these limitations was to, for example, redesign the manual servo page so that only a few buttons are needed for all the axes. The current axis is selected by touch the axis row. The axis values are easily selectable in the grid cells. And they are always easy to find and read because of the clear icon images on the left.

We are the pioneers of the Dynamic Option concept for CNC Bender controls that allows CNC Bender to learn new options quickly by adding them to a growing list of options. Now we've carried this concept into the axis setup of CNC Bender. The grid user-interface can expand to ANY number of axes. You can have three or thirty. The number of axes is no longer an issue to CNC Bender.

Because of this new expandable design, to setup CNC Bender so that it recognizes the existence of these added axes only requires a few minutes. CNC Bender is designed to learn and expand its user interface based on a minimal number of configuration values.
