Launchy is a utility that allows Windows using to press Alt-Spacebar, then start typing any program name to run. If the program exists on your system, then Launchy will suggest a completed name before you ever finish typing the whole name.

In the image above, I have typed "office", and Launchy suggests everything it can find related to "office", which includes Microsoft Word (which is what I wanted to load).

The program resembles Quick-Silver, which was designed to run only on the Mac.

The only weakness of Launchy is that it bombs regularly. I like it so much, that I put the program in the Quick Launch bar at the bottom of my desktop. It only takes a second to load.
