STEP 1 - Switch On the Correct Model in the Viewport

There are several models that can be turned on in the viewport. Remember that whatever surface model is displayed in the viewport will be in the STEP file that you export. This includes the envelope and scanned data.

In this example, we are going to display on the MASTER model before exporting.

Press F2 and then F3 after selecting the model to redraw the model.

STEP 2 - ENTER the DATA HANDLING Menu

Enter the Data Handling menu.

Click on the File Data tab menu.

Click on "Export Viewport Model to STEP File".

STEP 3 - PRESS the "Export to STEP" BUTTON

Set the options that you want in the two check boxes, then press the "Export to STEP" button.

  1. Click on the path and press the "Use Path Selected" button for the export path.

  2. Or double click on the path you want to use for exporting.
