Removable surface sprays are helpful for coating surfaces that are highly reflective or very black. Then can also aid in marking the area to measure.

Inexpensive
Does not cause an allergic reaction like the flux types below.
Much less messy than alcohol and powder.
Cleaning with a wipe is easy.
Is not as dense as Magnaflux or Dynaflux. Thick coating is not necessary. The goal of the spray is to break the reflectivity - for which a complete covering is not necessary.
Consistent levels of coating, however, is preferred. Magnaflux and Dynaflux (see below) excel in consistency.

DF315-16 Flammable Nuclear grade uses non-chlorinated solvent
DNF315-16 Non-flammable Standard grade
Very inexpensive ($5 per can)
For applications that require cleaning, the corresponding cleaner uses the same Dynaflux part number.
May cause an allergic reaction in the skin of some operators
